Akinola Lasisi (33) was in his shop in Sagamu garage when a fight broke out between some bus conductors and louts in that area. The police came and started shooting in the air to dispel the crowd. A bullet hit Akinola where he was sitting in his shop. He died on the spot.

Lasisi loved to travel, says his sister Funmilayo Olasumbo. He had just been married with a son and his wife was pregnant. The family doesn’t know who fired the shots. Trying to find out who did was another journey they could not embark on, after what it cost them to recover his body.
